Ever wondered what a player experiences during our one- or two-week tryout programs in Spain? Here’s a closer look at a typical day inside a professional academy — from morning wake-up to evening recovery. This behind-the-scenes view helps players prepare mentally and gives parents a clear understanding of the structure, discipline, and professionalism of our programs.
08:00 — Morning Wake-Up & Breakfast
Players start their day inside the club’s official residence, where they follow a balanced routine designed for athletes. Breakfast includes healthy options chosen to support performance: fruit, eggs, cereals, and hydration.
09:00 — Pre-Training Activation
Before stepping onto the pitch, players complete a 15–20 minute activation session led by staff. This includes:
mobility work
dynamic stretching
light coordination drills
This prepares the body for the intensity of the day.
10:00 — Main Training Session
The morning session is the heart of the tryout. Players train directly with the academy team of their age category.
Depending on the day, training may focus on:
technical skills
possession and small-sided games
tactical organisation
team structure and roles
transitional play
Coaches observe every detail: attitude, communication, decision-making, and adaptation to the group.
12:00 — Tactical Talk or Video Review
Some days include short meetings where coaches explain concepts or review moments from training.Players learn how professional teams analyse the game and what coaches expect tactically.
13:00 — Lunch & Rest
After training, players return to the residence for a balanced meal followed by rest. This recovery time is important so players can perform again in the afternoon.
16:00 — Second Session or Match Simulation
Depending on the program, afternoons may include:
a lighter technical session
recovery training
or match situations where players are fully evaluated
Matches are where coaches assess game intelligence, physical impact, work ethic, and consistency.
18:00 — Recovery & Showers
After training, players stretch, hydrate, and sometimes use cold therapy or compression depending on the club. Recovery is taken seriously — just like in professional environments.
19:00 — Personal Time & Evaluation Feedback
Players often speak individually with academy staff throughout the week.Coaches discuss:
strengths
areas to improve
tactical understanding
behaviour and professionalism
These conversations are essential for development and honest evaluation.
20:00 — Dinner
Dinner is served at the residence with the rest of the academy players. This builds a sense of team and helps international players integrate quickly.
22:00 — Lights Out & Rest
Rest is part of performance. A full night of sleep ensures players can perform again tomorrow.
